Racism on Campus Recap
Michigan State students first began protesting in support of students that called for the resignation of University of Missouri President Tim Wolfe. This sparked a national movement throughout american college campuses. The Black Student Alliance at MSU helped to organize the student marches and rallies that tried to bring attention to the racial issues on campus. Students demanded for changes in MSU one being that a hinger enrollment be in place for urban areas. The undergraduate number of African American students at MSU is only 7% percent, according to statistics at College Portraits. "People should approach it directly otherwise people will think that stuff is okay," said MSU student Nayirah Muhammad

Racism on Campus Preview
Michigan State University students protested outside of the Bill Clinton forum at the Kellogg Center in hopes that concerns of racism on campus would be heard. The protesting came after the open dialog university President Lou Anna K. Simon and MSU adminstration had with students regarding racial concerns. However, some students did not feel that the conversation answered all their questions and began to organize protests in order to get the answers they needed.
